Painting Vans Pink in the Fight Against Breast Cancer Published on September 27, 2016 This October, two of our Service Experts centers will be making a statement with pink vans. Fras-Air/General Service Experts and Service Experts Heating and Air Conditioning of Raleigh are each painting two of their work vans pink for the fight against breast cancer. During the month of October, Fras-Air/General Service Experts will be contributing 20% of all sales from their pink vans to Summit-based Susan G. Komen chapter to help raise money to help fight breast cancer. Service Experts of Raleigh will be donating 5% of all sales from their pink vans plus $10 for every furnace tune-up to their local chapter, Susan G. Komen North Carolina Triangle to the Coast. This is the second October Fras-Air/General Service Experts has painted a couple of their vans pink to raise money for breast cancer. In 2015, Fras-Air donated over $7,000 to Komen North Jersey. General Manager David Schneider and one of his technicians both lost their mothers to alternative forms of cancer and were motivated to help other families. “The National Cancer Institute said that 107,184 women in New Jersey faced breast cancer in 2016,” Schneider explained. “While the quantity of cases is actually declining each year, that still constitutes a significant number of families who are dealing with this disease, and that means there’s a serious need for research and support.” Chris Overton, the General Manager for Service Experts of Raleigh, seconded Schneider’s feelings. “According to the North Carolina State Center for Health Statistics, breast cancer is the most prominent type of cancer in North Carolina – for both females and males.” To learn more about Susan G.
